Why prove you wrong? You're right. But now you've drawn my attention away from this photo with a bourgeois concept as an "intro"....

And the photo stands fine on itself. A nice swirling dynamic something, dark enough to have something menacing too. Abstract and yet that tiny lightspot in the upperleft makes it touch the earth enough too. Makes me dwell inside and feel free to give it whatever meaning I feel like. I like that in a photo.
Maybe not the sharpest image ever, though :-)

Thanks, Wouter.  Even given my own taste for blurry photos, this was a little beyond my usual technique.  I was trying to snap a photo of a skateboarder launching off a curb, between a wall to the left and dumpster to the right.  I was using a new-to-me camera and didn't quite have the feel for the two-stage shutter release and snapped too quickly.  I liked the way it came out anyway.

By the way, the provocative critique request wording was just an experiment to see who might be visiting via the critique forum view, and who might be visiting via the rate photos queue or other means.  Some viewers will see only the title rather than the critique request.  I've often suggested to new members who are frustrated about the lack of critiques to write more specific, or at least more interesting, critique requests other than just "Critique please" or "All C&C and ratings welcomed".  Thought I'd try that myself just to see what happened.
