stp 6 Posted December 14, 2012 Nice light all around. What really catches my eye is the horse, head down, slowly leaving the scene. It's as if the "mood" of the horse is completely at odds with the beauty of the scene. The contrast is striking, and it makes for a wonderful photograph. Link to comment
gregoryl 0 Posted December 15, 2012 Hello NicolaI'll try this again, I thought I had posted a critique but it doesn't look like it stuck. This is a nice image so I'll try it all over again. First for having only 5 1/2 months with a camera you've done very well. I looked at your gallery and you have a good eye. As for this photo. It's nicely composed and I like the detail and tones of the scene taken at the golden hour. The horse in the foreground gives the viewer something to lead you into the scene and gives a sense of depth and makes for more of a story than just a landscape image. As for suggestions. The horse is the subject of the photo. The title confirms this. It's a photo of a horse in a landscape as opposed to a landscape with a horse in it. Since the horse is the subject I find it a tad dark and I would suggest bumping up the brightness and contrast on it just a touch to help emphasize it. Also the dark area on the right border (hay bales?) are close to the horse and compete for attention. If you clone it out I think it helps keep the eye from wandering to the edge of the frame there. My 2 cents worth.CheersGreg Link to comment
