hen_ry 1 Posted December 11, 2012 You have found interesting lines to frame the model. The pose is complex. The result of this all is a wonderful photograph. Congratulations. hen Ry Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted December 12, 2012 I love the blend of model and furniture. I agree that her lines are quite complex and contrast beautifully with the table. The reflection is a wonderful touch. Link to comment

jerrymat 5 Posted December 12, 2012 John, This is a remarkable photograph. If I were an art professor at an art school, I would use this as a lecture example on art in photography. I would first explain it as a study of tones and gray-scale values. Then I would re-examine it in terms of lines and the angles in which they interact: the arms, the back, the leg - all interacting with the expression of the face - the lines of table and background both echoing and contradicting the lines of the body. One of the noticeable things about this composition is that the observer's eyes keep moving. I look first at her face, but then am distracted to follow the length of her extended arm. The fingers reach the margin of the photo but I am drawn to the lines of the molding in the background, which followed, bring me back to her face. I look at the stockinged leg whose darker tone is echoed by the seat fabric in the chair. I escape to the weave of the fabric in the chair back, then search the texture of the something in the right doorway and then sweep backward to the eyes that are staring at me. Often I look at a photo for a few seconds and then move on. This one does not allow me to move on. Her eyes are riveted on me; but her reflected eyes seem to look elsewhere. Where did that little highlight of light come from? I think I will put this one in my favorites set so I can find it again. My regards,Jerry Link to comment

John Peri 1,029 Posted December 13, 2012 Thank you very much for your interest in this photo friends .. the model is a delight to work with. Jerry, I very much appreciate the time you took over this one, thank you. To answer your question, that spot of light shouldn't be there on the table of course, I didn't notice it frankly (thanks again), but it should be easy to remove. The source of the problem is my flash, as usual, it tends to do that sometimes. Link to comment
sideris 0 Posted December 15, 2012 This composition is slightly out of your "beaten path" in a certain sense. First, because her mysterious facial expression reflected (and vanishing) on the glass table, second, because her relaxed body language that is not provoking despite nudity, on the opposite, it is a calm exercise of aesthetics beyond erotism. And I agree with folks, this is a very complex and sophisticated composition, clean and neat, with the typical lightning quality that is your signature. Very well done. Link to comment
matthijs 0 Posted January 14, 2013 Worth a second look. And a third. Has a certain crispness and "serene unbalance" that's rare. Combined with the model that seems to invite us (to look) into her soul. Well done indeed. (If you're looking for tiny things that might be done different: the rectangular pattern in the panneling in the background seems cut off at the top. But that's truly nit picking...) Link to comment
