Please view large. In reviewing some older images, I thought this

one at Lake Crescent on Olympic National Park, Washington

should be shared. To me its the couple walking along the

shoreline that make the image interesting. Your opinions and

comments are much appreciated. Thanks. Larry

Gregory and Verena,   Thanks for viewing this image.  You are correct about gloomy conditions providing interesting photo opportunities.  I prefer gloomy to sunny any time.  I seek interesting light that is usually available in early morning and late evening.  This image was taken in early evening in the rain.

Tony,   Thanks for your visit.  I appreciate your view about the color tint.  I wasn't sure if this image had enough interest.  Your vote of confidence helps in my assessment of the image, so I am checking off your comment as helpful.  Happy winter.   Larry

Hi Larry,  Beautiful scene, the lake gives a sense of calm, yet the clouds somewhat threatening to the calm of the lake and the scene. Great capture of the heavy clouds lingering low in some areas. Great scene, nice composition.  Best Regards.

hi Larry- You have captured a compelling image in what a lot of people would consider to be lousy weather, however I believe conditions like this create great opportunities for meaningful images .Like how you kept the low dark tones placing the emphasis on the couple walking along the shoreline.creating a very interesting image. When we took the car ferry from Vancouver to Skagway we were fortunate to have inclement weather & I have some images that I really like. Had me stumped for a short while, the two people are not in the large view, counted trees & discovered they are not included in the large view. Best Regards-Ross

Ross,  Thanks for your visit and comments.  The two people are in the large view, but you may need to slide the image to the right to get it to fit on the screen.  Happy Holidays.  Larry

Larry,

Viewing this large brought out the grandeur of the lake you wonderfully captured. The clouds creeping down the hill together with its colour and the very detailed tree-covered hill give so much drama and mood to the place. The two people not only give added interest but helps provide scale to this magnificent place. A beautiful landscape!

Regards!  -  Lester
