cheesyd 0 Posted August 6, 2003 I like this one much better than the other shot of this gentleman. Link to comment
alan chan 0 Posted August 7, 2003 Ehan, this man has great potential for head-portrait, IMO His glass - beard - headdress which were complemented by the dark suite. I would try persuade him to an appropriated shaded place for a head shot ! This one - the hand behind the man is a distraction - the shot lack information of what this man was doing - i think he might be walking down the stair and you just quickly did a snap - there is lack of eye-contact You've got a good eye anyway for picking this character ! wvanhorn 0 Posted August 7, 2003 I agree that the hand is a little distracting. It would be better if it wasn't blurred, but even then it would still be a little distracting. I love this man, and I love the way you've shot him. Many people say to included the entire head, but I think you decision to cut it off was a good one. I love the sea of black and the white row leading up to his gray face with eyes replaced by flares in his simple glasses. I like the continued black by the way of his cap, as simple as his glasses, his face, his beard. I really enjoy this photo. Link to comment

panzerwolf 0 Posted August 17, 2003 how often do you re-request your critiques?it's a bit tiresome to see your same pictures over and over again on the newest critique requests page... Link to comment
scottpyates 0 Posted October 16, 2003 I agree with Will Van Horn. B&W was a good choice. Hand is distracting though. There is good texture in the cap, let's see more of it. Link to comment
