Composition is excellent...how the eye is drawn into the shot with curving lines. Works very well in black and white. I like how they seem to be oblivious to you, making it a good candid shot. Interesting that they are all together yet they seem so far apart in their own world.

Movement flows through the image fluidly both in terms of geometry and figuratively in terms of various postures.  It is a dynamic and graceful composition. Well seen and composed.  Less convinced about the handling of the overall tones, but that is a very subjective matter (what isn't??)...thinking out loud here, please don't mind me too much... :-)...I also wonder where is the shot taken; is it Rome? Well seen, Andrea. Regards, -h

polpolo della piazza!! --- ottimo composizione. secondo me, sarebbe ancora meglio seza le ombre di due personi sul destra.  complimenti -koushik

Kousnik, thanks to yoo too for your time. you are right, it had be better without shadows. but, you see, is a miracle to have only that shadows, the place is always busy.

Andrea, The striking thing for me is the mood of loneliness. Every bench is occupied by one person. They are alone but also together. Very interesting image. Best regards, Marco

Third from the left have two people:-) (to Marco above), at least I see three legs. I love the curves and how these are composed. The shadows of two people from the lower right corner are interesting details for overall scene and composition.

Amazing juxtaposition of objects (buildings and people) that represent different times. The electronic equipment (earphone and, is it a camera the woman is pointing) contrasts again with the natural stone of the seats. But how interesting that the there figures closest to the viewer all have the right leg crossed over the left. They are bound by these similar postures as the two shadows moving past are joined to each other and the paving. A fascinating observation of our separateness as well as the bonds we have with one another. Well done, Andrea.

bettie, marco, gunnar. thanks, your observations are complete and interesting. the reason for wich i love to post photos. but gunnar, your eye is mine. you know, i never shooted a photo without, at my eyes, a mistake. mistake of conception, i mean photos without a reason to exist, and also not well shooted. here i had all the time i needed, i was in an other bench. i waited fo a "good moment" and when i shooted i didnt see that the girl of the couple was hidden.... and you saw too. i'm guilty.... ciao!
