briankelley 0 Posted December 2, 2012 I have lookled at this image for a bit and have a hard time with the coposition. I love the golors and the shading of this image just that the light house keeps pulling my eye away from the rest of the image. Not sure if the subject does not lend itself to art or is just to crouded for a good compostion. Hope this helps. Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted December 3, 2012 You have seize this under such good lighting conditions that it gives the scene an overall warmth. As Brian rightfully notes, the lighthouse takes your eye to that corner but I think only momentarily as you go back to the majestic mosque set against that big sky.Have you tried a more panoramique frame on this say by cropping a bit off the top and some off the bottom?I think it would give more breathing room to this concentration of impressive architectures and enhance this most excellent image.Bravo et meilleures salutations-Laurent Link to comment
kazimir 5 Posted December 3, 2012 Many thanks on your valuable comments! The Lighthouse? - what to do - I have a few pictures from a different angles of Hagia/Aja Sophia and this one is the best as I can see it and I tried my best to make some acceptable composition of it... It is true that the whiteness of a lighthouse takes the first look, but then eye is settled on a grandeuse of a mosque/church and doesn't get back to lighthouse any more. If I crop it to panoramic view, am not sure that it will gain something significally (and I will lose that small seagull at the bottom middle which I like for some reason...). Anyhow, I will let the picture as it is for sometime to take a fresh look and consider improvements. All the best and thanks again! Link to comment
