Great Capture! I'm getting a 200-400mm lens soon and hoping to hit the beach to get some images of surfers this coming year. If they turn out half this good I'll be pleased.

Another great surfing shot.  Wonderful action, and you're great at getting a big wave as a backdrop.  I'm not sure, but what would it look like to have a bit more breathing room to the left and bottom......the direction she's going.......to create a bit more sense of movement.  This would also serve to put her just slightly off center.  Anyway, see what you think of the idea.

Christal, you are right, more breathing room would allow a sense of motion.   I got carried away with the thought that most people are looking at the athletic young lady, without much thought about what she is doing.  Many thanks for your input.  Aloha.

Excellent! I do agree that the crop is too tight. I would like to see her surfing into a little more left space. Curious where you took it? Maybe off a pier - like Crystal Pier in San Diego?

Steve, this is at Ho'okipa on Maui's north shore.  I'm on an overlook with a 500 mm + a 1.4X but this is a tight crop as well.  Some people make the wave, but she was so  graceful, one of those natural athletes.

Yes, but you just have showed her best.  Love your skill in taking such fast moving surfers.  Right movement to froze the moving world.  It is static but you feel it is moving.  Best Regards,
