I didn't dare even consider cloning out the saliva at the back of the youth's open mouth.   It says to me immediacy, nothing preplanned, and so a completely spontaneous expression.

In a year, five years, ten years, a hundred years, this moment is frozen in time. This young man's mouth will never close. It's frozen in this position forever by this capture.

If a camera had not captured this exact moment and vantage, would it have happened at all?

Great stuff. The wideopen mouth gives volume to the exhubrance, and the eye contact of the grinning guy gives it sharing.
