On my Dad's birthday (Thanksgiving Day here in Canada), my

daughter and her two children stopped by Jackson Park to see the

leaves before dinner. Shaelyn is very spontaneous and loves to goof

around. She was having a great time in the park, and just 'struck a

pose'. Of course I have 'over enhanced' her facial features, eyes etc.

just for impact and fun, so I hope people read this before they

comment. MAINLY because I would never make her eyes 'sparkle'

like that naturally!!!! And who really wants to see a 'Portrait' with a

girl's mouth open and tongue exposed!!! So I do hope folks view this

in the manner of which it was DIGITALLY ALTERED and in light of

the MOOD Shaelyn was in when this was taken. It is so fun to see

kids just be kids and 'goof around'. Life is far too serious most of the

time! (your visits and comments are always appreciated, many

thanks, Gail)

Ha! That's fun! Looks like you're playing with filters and textures. Good work. I like it. Her face is so "in your face". That combined with the bright colors and textures makes it striking and eye catching.

You've visited ??? Actually the park with the war plane Memorial is at Riverview Park and Zoo. It's less than 5 minutes from where I live. Lovely park and the Zoo improves every year. It is still free admittance so far. Jackson Park is a larger park, (I think) and very scenic, I just happened to miss the leaves when they were at their best. Jackson is enjoyed by most, it is quite accessable with many trails. Thank you for your kind words re this image. Shaelyn was having a ball, and she is very spontaneous when it comes to having her photo taken. My sincere appreciation for your visit!

Very good image.  Is it a little flat (too fine) on the face?  Anyhow, it is very good.  Best Regards,

I agree, but perhaps with my editing to be exhagerated, that is the result. I did not mean for it to be a Portrait. I put it under Humour. Hope this helps explain.

What's not to like about a picture of a kid having a blast? Great goofy snapshot - well worked with the skin texture and yes, I like the sparkle in her eyes!

Hi Gail,

This is a wonderful " Larger Than Life" capture. Oh, to be young again ......................

A fine array of colors is an added bonus.

Well shot technically, too. A++ for my student.

Warmest Regards, Mike

Hi Gail, Fantastic shot! Great image!

I have your comments of my images. I am very thankful for all. If I could I would love to help WK from LI. Only I have no clue how I can contact with him. Also I love sailing and I had very bad accident on the ocean. If you'd like visit my page - folder After Sandy and you'll see what was happened with the sail boat.

Best regards, Tina

I saw the Sailboat!!!! I do hope you and your friend escaped without any injury!!! what a scare that must have been. Certainly with the hurricane and your accident, it further impresses on one, just how precious life truly is. Warren said that he will come on line from time to time, so if you send him a message like I did, he is bound to get it, Perhaps if you hear from him, you can go from there.
