I'm spending my time and photography energy taking pictures of the food we

are serving at the Ma'alaea General Store & Cafe'. The deli is at the building

we restored last year and this is some of the food we sell. If you're planning a

Maui visit this winter, check out our menu and harbor location on Facebook.

Sure looks appetizing! Beautiful capture for advertising Dominick. I actually was watching 5-O last week, and got to wondering how your 'Cafe' was doing. The shots you did of the reno were excellent, such a transformaiton!

OMG!!!!  I guess I've never seen anything on PN about what you do in Hawaii.  You own this place?  For how long?  We spent quite a bit of time in Ma'alaea, and we may have eaten here......can't be sure.  What a small world!  This is beautifully photographed (and plated, by the way).  I'm an avid cook myself, so I really appreciate shots like this.  We had some of the most delicious food when we were in Hawaii.....so fresh!  When you get a chance, I'd love to know more about your place.....how long you've had it, it is really still a general store, etc.

Christal, I got the property a couple years ago and restored the building following historical guidelines.  I was wearing my general contractor hat then.   We opened the doors 3 months ago and have the normal general store items as well as a coffee bar & deli.  Still adjusting our inventory to the needs of the Ma'alaea community.  For food pics, and building restoration, check it out on Facebook, and our web site www.maalaeageneralstore.com should be up and running tomorrow.

Let me know the next time you're in Ma'alaea.  Aloha.
