it's difficult to get a good shot of an interior of a shop from the outside looking in... amazing what a powershot can do, Paul; i read the technical details and they bewilder me, lol... excellent that the diner is straight in the frame while the door/window from the street in the fg is tilted, which looks very real, and the way a building is built, or maybe it just positions the photographer passing casually by.  excellent capturing the bright lights of a diner at night. the look of the diner guy at you is awesome timing to give drama to the shot, which is probably all that's needed to enliven an interior shot from outside so that the shop is animated instead of the photographer walking by. i hope that makes sense. this kind of shot i've seen so many times, but maybe it's the small scale of it as well that just educates me here. awesome ;-} dp

i like the urban feel to this shot..  the dude looks a bit  Kirlk Cobain . sometimes it works when the subject is looking at the photographer much so in this case.

Thanks Stephanie. I have had three friends suggest we meet this week at the Reef for lunch. Haven't eaten in there in years. Could be a Kurt Cobain relative. I live not to far from where he grew up.
