Wow, Dominick, impressive wave!!!! Excellent detail captured and the expression on the young man's face is 'priceless'!!! Truly excellent capture of living life 'on the edge'. The colour of the water is beautiful, but I think what impresses me the most is the sheer magnitude of the wave and the 'power' behind it. You did a fine job, Bravo!!

Gail, you're up late!  Thanks for your kind and generous comments.  I was safely on shore with a 500 mm lens taking this picture.  The truly pro surf shots are made by photographers in the water wearing fins, helmets, and carrying cameras in waterproof housings and directly in the path of the surfer.  I'm happy to be high and dry!

This is an excellent shot, as Gail already mentioned. Thanks for the explanation about the pro-photographers, I didnt know that.

Very good catch Dom. ! got a dynamic feel to it with that trailing white splash. I would have prefer a bit more foreground  but that's personal taste. TFS!

Excellent work:  It is moving but it is sharp.  One of your best.  Love the color contract.  Just the right movement.  Best Regards,
