TO ALL PHOTOGRAPHERS...

Just a note for any of you who would like to comment further on the "Models Smoking In Our Photography" topic, you can go to:

and weigh in on The FORUM about this very controversial subject!  One of the members on that site ironically just requested that we talk about it on The FORUM, as he has just been through it with some of his commenters as well.  Hope to see you there!  Best, Michael

Michael,  Seems like a brick wall I saw recently.  You have a young model wearing half the school costume, in an interesting pose.  Such a pity - a surgeon removed her elbow and I can't tell if she is in pain because her face is heavily shadowed.  I'll bet your camera has a pop-up flash, which could have solved the facial problem.

Oh now Jerry, don't be mean!  First of all, those slanting bricks cost extra, but a lot of buildings use them!  And yes, I did commit the two sins of having surgery done on her elbow (which was to crop out the landscape below), and I did have her face into the shadows.  My bad, I know, but I didn't want all the extra problems that a flash can cause... especially flattening out the image.  I should have taken the time to use a reflector.  What can I say... getting old and lazy!  :o)
