michaellinder 16,611 Posted November 15, 2012 There's a really interesting story element in this image. Note how the caregiver is looking to side to make sure it is safe to cross the intersection. The person in the wheelchair is looking straight ahead, apparently without any concern. I really like the difference in shapes and textures, which are well detailed. My best, michael Link to comment
RickDB 10 Posted November 15, 2012 Nice composition Ruud - I particularly like the geometrical pattern of the bricks. TFS, RickDB Link to comment
overdiep 0 Posted November 15, 2012 Ruud, You pay with this nice image attention to a topical in our society: the care and costs for elderly persons. Groeten, Marco Link to comment
WJBrowning 0 Posted November 15, 2012 RuudI love the composition of this shot. The carer looking left adds a real dynamic tension to the structure of the shot. This tension is supported by the change in patterns of the bricks. So simple but so effective. Best wishes William Link to comment
lynnemass 10 Posted November 15, 2012 I agree with all the comments made thus far. I just want to add that in addition to the geometrics and the tension of the woman's gaze, the angle of the capture from above accentuates the drama. This is a great shot!-Lynne Link to comment

HermanRoes 6 Posted November 16, 2012 Ruud,Mother and daughter I guess. That is the way life goes, first you are a child and your parents drive you around and then at a certain moment things change and you drive your parent(s) around. Great image and well seen. Thank you for sharing. Kind regards,Herman Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted November 20, 2012 An excellent image that as many have said addresses the needs of the Elderly in Society. I recall, early in my Mom's illness, though we did not know what was wrong, she had trouble standing/walking for very long. I took her out just before Christmas in 2009. She needed some things herself and a few gifts. I was very fortunate when I went in one store, we were talking to a Salesgirl and I mentioned my Mom's problem with standing etc. She informed me that she could have a WHEELCHAIR brought to us for me to use for Mom, what a lifesaver it was. We actually spent more than an hour together and it was quite enjoyable. I will always remember that afternoon. I am sure this elderly woman is very grateful to be taken on an outing in the fresh air. An excellent image Ruud with a fine story that many can identify with! Link to comment
