I am thinking of printing a 13x19 print of this, but am still not

sure what others may think of it. I was going to hang it alongside

another similar photo of my other son above my fireplace. It matches

the rugged decor of my home, just not sure how others see it.

Andrea, this is a nice portrait, well worth framing and hanging. I personally would cut off the uppermost, light edge (opposite bank?) which reduces the depth of the photo. Also, if the original frame allows it, I would include a bit more room on the right and a bit less on the left in order to stress the descending diagonal composition. Finally, I suspect that a tad extra contrast would give the portrait more three-dimensionality or "body" (gently, of course, since this is a child's portrait!). The only weak point is that the action performed by the child and the object of his interest are not clear - one follows his glance and finds little ("little" for us adults, of course).

Wow! I never thought of the diagonal by cropping off some of the bottom portion. Good eye, thanks for the comment.
