Great capture of that almost intimidating look.Good timing to get one eye closed and the other opened one with such sharpness.Bravo for an excellent image!

Thanks.

Laurent, both of his eyes are open.  The title and note under the critique request explains it.  It's actually very hard to get a shot of him looking at me equally with both eyes.

Right!I should have written the side of the eye looking away and the other one staring at you;still the same conclusion:excellent image!

With the 1 eye being so tack sharp, we can see the incredibly pigmented detail surrounding it.  The other eye.....well, it's just fascinating information.  Thanks for the explanation.

Humans are given credit for maybe being the most intelligent creatures on the planet (note that I said "maybe"), but our physical abilities pale in comparison to some of the smallest inhabitants of our world.

The detail in the visible eye is incredible, and I love the depth of field.  I suppose man could duplicate those colours, but isn't it amazing that such colours and patterns are totally natural and created by nature...part of a world most of us aren't even aware of, a world most of us never even see.

I really like this photograph.
