Thanks Peter! haha, 'lazy wing'  :-) - the wings should be all lazy since they just stock the lake and this fellow had at least 3 trouts (easy picking) on the other shore from me and then pulll out to my side of the pond to chase some other bird.

Excellent!  Do you know why the leading edge of the wings on these birds are often bloodied?  

Very good question Dominick! I had been wodering the same for a long time now since that looks like injuries but according to some obseration description I've found it seems the leading edge of the wings are covered by reddish color plummage " except for reddish leading edge to inner wing" :

Excellent picture indeed, caught in just the rigth moment. The bird is sharp and the colrs are great.
