Oregon's Outback

Hi Paul, I like the contrast throughout.  I especially like the foreground, and I know that this scene was likely quite bland in color.  I have read your bio and viewed your portfolio.  Your work has inspired me to experiment with black & white conversions to rescue and improve upon some of my images.  Regards, Jeff 

Wow, that foreground pattern is very striking....and it doesn't end there -- the clouds surrounding the mountain and even those set against a nearly black sky and that reach down to the ground on the right side are so well rendered.  Still, the foreground is special.

I love the texture of the foreground.  You get a sense of how vast the salt flat is.  The clouds and mountains almost seem like they are one subject.  Very well captured!

Thanks for the compliments. I just sold one of these, with the forground a hair more contrasty.

I can imagine the foreground being a whole bunch of giant amoebas clustered together....there must be millions of them!
