I like this photo very much because it does not look like ALL THE OTHER AUTUMN PHOTOS!  It is almost painterly, but not quite as the foreground is crisp.  The fog lends a soft focus to the trees.  It also lends depth to the image.  Well seen and beautifully captured.

Try some more like this.  You may learn to like the technique.
