I'm sorry, it wasn't meant to sound trite. Everything is great about this photo, like I said, with the technical choices I feel that you're right on... it's just a boring composition. That's not such a big deal, but I felt that it was worth mentioning since you're looking for critiques.

I hope some photographers are getting along well with the people around them. Photographs can be boring but to the family they love it. Some forget the good ethics, unprofessional and always think about their own perception.

My comment was not intended to hurt feelings. I gave the photo more praise than criticism. But I wonder what you were expecting when you asked for critiques? Do you want honest opinions on what others feel can be improved, or simply praise? As a fellow photographer, I gave you my opinion on what area I felt that the photo was lacking, and where I thought you did well. It's certainly a nice rendition of this family, and I'm sure they're very happy with it. I think the photo would be stronger if it were less centered, and that's my opinion, not an attack against you as a photographer.
