Acadia 5

Traditions on Mount Desert Island (Acadia Park) die slowly. The boat

owner had every intention to rebuild his vessel, as two locals informed me,

but procrastinated. The boat seemed to me to be moving out of a fog,

suspended in time, just as our autumn memories are also not just one, but

many. Part of a series done this week on this island of Maine. I welcome
