frigo 4,155 Posted October 28, 2012 Low tide revealed a deep green algae coating on the rocky shoreline.Iset the camera at ground level using the bridge and reflection in calmwaters as background.Like to know what you think...Thank you-Laurent Link to comment
stp 6 Posted October 28, 2012 It looks as if you may have used a polarizer -- the blue in the sky varies considerably. For this reason, I seldom use a polarizer with a wide-angle lens. I'd suggest you angle the camera down to take in less sky in exchange for more rocks, and then do several shots at different points of focus and then combine them with PS or some image-stacking software so that the foreground as well as the background can be in sharp focus. My $0.02. Link to comment
w-j-li 0 Posted October 28, 2012 Nice and interesting foreground which conveys a very perspective scene. Best Regards, Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted October 28, 2012 You are right about the use of the polarizer here.I like how it works on cloudy skies but on clear skies it does give that variation as you note.I will take up on your advise for getting more ground/less sky on future shots of this type;I guess this entails raising the POV slightly to avoid having the lense too close to ground level.I appreciate the multi shot process would get the max in-focus foreground but this is beyond my skill/tool level. This is far more than 2 cents worth and I thank you for the helpful advise.Merci et meilleures salutations-Laurent Link to comment
