Pierre, thanks for the input.  I keep getting advice on how to do my sky better and I sincerely appreciate the help from Tony Hadley and Alf Bailey, among others, on this topic.  In this photo the sun is on the left and low.  There is a band of light at the bottom of the far mountain, but above, it is shadowed by the cloud.  The sky is actually darker above the mountain than it is at left where the sun shines through.  The sky at 10,000++ feet of elevation is so deep blue it sometimes appears purple.  I find I have to try to tame it down to make it look real...and not successfully I may add ;-)  By the way, Pierre, a 6 is good with me.  Thanks!

Excellent composition with the perfect reflection.  Hope you will show us the same scene with the autumn color.  Best Regards,

Dominick - this is a very good image. I am suspecting that the small darkening in the sky may be due to the use of a circular polarizer (CPL). With wide-angle lens, I have stopped using polarizers  unless I have a special need. But then again, if you did not use a CPL, then i am not sure what would cause that  condition

All the best,

.
