Just guessing the situation here:

The two geese in the front are gossiping about the gees in the background. I don't know why but the image reminds me of a horse race track, maybe it is triggered by the slightly arrogant pose of the geese in the back.

Best regards,

Ben

It is said a market is three women and a goose. In Gooseland it can be three geese and a woman. Methinks the haughty fair one at the back is a woman is disguise...

Pierre,

This is a beautiful image. I like it very much. The colours and composition are very nice. Besides that I am impressed by the mood. The image tells a story. I don't know what you had in mind, but in my imagination several stories are possible. The fallen birch seems to be a barrier. One story could be that the goose on the background plays a dominant part. That goose wants that the others follow him. One is already over the barrier but hesitates if he will go further. The two geese in front are discussing what to do. On the other hand it is possible that the geese in front are waiting for the others on the other side.

Summarized: I feel a strong tension in an apparently quiet environment.

Do you know that your namesake, Marlene Dumas, received a prestigious award (Johannes Vermeer Prijs 2012) in the Netherlands for her paintings? She was born in South Africa (1953) and moved in 1976 to the Netherlands. The financial value of the award is 100.000 euro!

Best regards, Marco

Grande Pierre, amico mio!

Hi Pierre,

This image is a creative masterpiece.

Technically, the color saturation and clarity speaks to the Carl Zeiss optics.

Well accomplished my friend.

Best Regards,  Uncle Mike

I wouldn't take this picture so seriously as some of you do, although it took me quite a lot of efforts and work to finish it relatively not noticeably that it is a montage! I surely appreciate your support, of course!

Excellent, lovely image, bravo. For once I see no ulterior meaning, the only thing that comes to mind being housewives (and/or husbands sic) gossiping at the supermarket .. : -)

Even though it is nice and sunny, there is no question that there is a type of mood and it communicates very well with the viewer. There is a mood to this image. I could just imagine the conversation; "my husband woke up this morning and he told me that he slept without his pajama top and he ended up with a stiff neck. I told him to try and sleep without his pants"
