Siegfried, they are larger when adult.  This is just a baby.

It is interesting how the mind can play perceptive tricks.  When I first saw this small, I thought it was a cat with insect in mouth with some kind of bird in the foreground.  I opened it and realized I had been completely fooled.  A most interesting image.
