I met a young man in Jackson Park who had this lovely new pup

(Golden Retriever). He was such a cute little 'boy'. He was pretty

happy to be running along, playing in the leaves. His paws were so

large for his body, I couldn't help but laugh. I regret that I do not

recall his name, but he reminded me of a similar pup that was on the

street where we lived when my children Shauna and Jesse were

both under 8 years old, they so wanted a pup! His name

was 'Freeway' and it seemed so appropriate. He would run along

with the children, tripping over his paws, we used to have such a

chuckle watching him. This little guy brought back some lovely

memories of when my 2 children were very young. When I captured

this shot, he had such a sad, pleading look on his face, yet

his 'mood' had been totally opposite the entire time! (your visits and

input are sincerely appreciated, many thanks, Gail)

Love it, great eyes, awesome dog. I remember the "Ode to the Dog" by Pablo Neruda, oh so wonderful. Great, amiga, congratulations. Brava!

Good one, the personality comes through so well.  And, of course, you have those excellent compositing skills.

I hate it when we can't save terrific, wonderful shots like this to use as wallpapers & stuff.  Damn sad that is.

Cheers,
Drew

Beautiful presentation Gail! Those eyes are so expressive! Very nice light on the puppy. The background really creates an interesting mood for the shot. Regards

I'm not falling for it again.

But how can I resist?

Not again.  Look away.

(The color scheme is really cool).

Ahhhh, you're just a 'big SOFTEY', you are comfortable in your own skin, so just admit it JeffS !!!! You got that big heart that can't resist those big brown eyes, whether it is a 'child' or an itsy, bitsy, beautiful PUPPY !!!!!! Many thanks for dropping by and for your kind comments of critique. Just don't show it to the kids, they already have a beautiful dog!!! ;-) Gail

Yeah, this is a tug to the heart.  A loverly, sweet dog .  A face of an old soul.  I like your capture of those whiskers and eye whiskers too.  He jumps out of the screen, the wet nose first, of course.  Great creative backdrop.  Excellent work

Hi Donna, thanks for your visit. I could have taken this little guy and just ran off with him, if I could have managed his weight!!! Abbey weighs about 15 pounds now, this little guy had to be at least 35. He was a Sweetie, and I think this serious look came about because I caught his attention on purpose, he was so busy. The rest of the time, he just couldn't stay still, so many things to see and explore!!!
