This image was taken on the drive between the Denver Airport and Estes

Park at the start of our Colorado vacation. The drive was so beautiful I had

to stop along the road several times although it was late, getting dark, and

had to find my rental home. The heavy clouds brought snow that night.

This is, again, a 3 image HDR processed using CS6, LR 4.2, and HDRsoft.

Hope you enjoy it. Aloha.

Can you tell I'm loving these new images of yours?  Gosh, I'm so jealous!  Unfortunately, my work schedule never allows me to travel in autumn, so that's the first thing I'm going to do when I retire!  I couldn't understand how you got such vivid colors with the weather conditions that are present.  But then I read that it's an HDR.  Very well done.....I would not have guessed, which IMO is the mark of a successful HDR.  One small nit is the brightness of the clouds.....if you could burn or bring out a little detail in them, this would be absolutely perfect!

Christal,  many thanks for your input on these images.  Your comments, along with those of Tony Hadley, and Alf Bailey have all helped me improve on the images.  Typically my workflow includes Lightroom 4.2 where I check the histogram both for areas that are blown out and those too black.  I then adjust to where I have a complete range from black to white.  The clouds are not blown out, looking at it with my equipment.   That said, this image when completed is 135 M in size.  Reducing it to 1.5 M does it a huge injustice.  Aloha.
