20121008 Vicksburg Natl Battleground-0433-Edit

I don't do a lot of selective color but when I saw this scene it was the

first thing that came to my mind. It was a grey day and as I looked

down the hill at row after row of graves all I could think of was from death

comes life. It seemed a natural to greyscale the graves and markers

along with the sky while leaving the color in the trees. I used a layer

mask to let the color through after changing the background layer to

black and white. I did significant burning in the sky to accentuate the

clouds. Please let me know if there is a better way. Also, check out

my second cemetery picture with the flag and let me know what you

think.
