Nice composition and used of space.  I like the 3-D lighting pattern, good skin color, her clothes and the color harmony.  Her left hand looks like she was squeezing a golf ball just before this pose.  The pose looks like she is fastening her head onto her neck (or taking it off).  I almost expect to hear a squeak, squeak if she is putting on her head, or a "pop" if she is taking it off.  It is probably too close to halloween for me to read another story into it.  Still, I like it.

thanks for your helpful comment. I see the photograph with your eyes now, before I only saw the problem with the right arm (too big, because of the lens). Thanks for the comment to the skincolor and the 'story-lecture'. Greetings. hen Ry

I. do understand and respect John's comments further up, but it may well have to do with how you view a photo.  For me, portraiture often has more to do with personality than with any items such as mentioned above. A photo can be out of focus, poorly shaded or whatever, none of which are the case above, but does it convey a message, does it have an impact, that is the real issue I believe.

There is something of a backstage quality to this photo, it is somehow very personal and consequently it touches me more deeply than any technically perfect image may do. The  eye contact, the body language (notably the hand) and the slightly shy demeanour are warm and intimate and probably say as much about the photographer as the model, for she is able to relate to him in this manner. I would frame this picture and place it in the sitting room, which I may not do wish to do necessarily with another image. I enjoyed it personally, thank you and bravo for this capture.
