As you note,the shoreline is most colorful and definitely more spectacular at this time of the year.As this lake freezes over,it will surely remain a good photo location and then,the snow will again change the landscape to become more common.I must remember to return for a look.Thank you for an always welcomed comment.

You are right;there is an abundance of maple trees in this area and these are by far the most colorful and really photo friendly.The color season  spreads over weeks and the change of coloration can be spectacular;the worst enemy of this spectacle in this period is the high winds which overnight can change the landscape by denuding the trees of their weakened colored coating to the dismay of photographers and nature lovers alike.Thank you for your most kind comment.
