Thanks for the validation.  Not the result I was expecting to come back with from my outing, rather a bonus, the serendipity factor at work.  Best, LM.

Very interesting and creative shot. The thing is I started taking photography more seriously after reading Freeman Patterson book "Photo Impressionism". That image might have been from there.

Freeman's photos crossed my mind when I decided this scene was worth a frame or two.  I've had a number of his books over the years and I'm sure some of his influence has rubbed off.  Not to say  we're in the same league.  :-(  Thanks for taking the time & for your observations.  Best, LM.

I hope you are keeping well!

I have been an admirer of this type of "impressionist" work for a long time, and I've even tried to emulate this style myself, alas to no avail.

This is a lovely scene to sit back relax and quietly contemplate, very therapeutic.

 Best Regards

Like many on PN I have a favourite location for landscape\nature shots, namely, Willow Creek, Midhurst, Ontario.  No matter how many times I go there I seem to come back with some different and very satisfying (to me) images.  This was a spot where the water slowed somewhat but maintained a surface ripple.  I was on the shady side of the stream shooting into the sunny reflection.  You can view some of my other images by searching Gallery>Tags>Willow Creek  or Midhurst.  Best, LM.

this also is about  a dance and you describe it very aptly. i like the way you position the gray branches on the left while composing. compliments -koushik

Thanks for the validation on the composition.  It is cropped square from the original which included more on the right.  Any nature shot with motion can be likened to a dance and even some static shots where the lines seem to flow.  Thanks for your always welcome visit.  Best, LM.

Wonderful and artistic. I downloaded the image and played with PS Shadow/Highlight/mid-range contrast sliders. The result was too insignificant to load it here. Congrats on a fine shot!

Good to have a vote of confidence from one who I feel 'walks the walk'.  I ran the original through PS and, with a light hand, tweaked the levels a tad to increase the clarity.  Seems it worked out OK.  A couple of steps back, re-compose, and this is what I saw.  Thanks for your always welcome visits.  Best, LM.

Len - Your are too kind. Thanks. And this one is another beautiful image. Just goes to remind me to continue to 'work' a scene for numerous possibilities.
