This composition started out being an image of a Clematis, and then

evolved. Not long into editing, I began to see a face and a figure that

did not at all look human. I immediately began thinking of a TV Show

that I sometimes put on called 'UFO Hunters'. These are usually

times when I have other things on my mind, and am not in the mood

to listen to or watch anything too 'deep'. I watched it last week, and it

featured the man whom the movie "Fire In The Sky' was written

about. It came out in the 70's (I think). Travis Walton's experience

occured on November 25, 1975 and has been called the best

documented case of Alien Abduction. Although the movie made

about his experience differs for 'movie audiences' it really had me on

the edge of my seat back when I first watched it. Travis Walton took

part in an 'exercise' with the crew of UFO Hunters for the episode

last week. He also has a Website re the occurrance. Who really

knows? I don't - but don't really want to find out for sure either!!!

(Thankyou for any visits and comments, they are much

appreciated, ;-) Gail)

Dear Gail, I certainly see the "alien" in several spots here, big head and beedy eyes kind of character, I know the type. But on a more photographical note I like a number of other things in this image. Colors and geometrics among them, but I always like the amount of effort you put into your images. The well written intos, the perfect framing and of course the kaleidiscope of colors and effects you employ always make me enjoy your work. Take care my friend.

Best Always,

Holger

Hello Holger! It is always such a pleasure to hear from you. I find your input both interesting and almost like we are having a conversation. While we live far apart, I feel you are 'much closer'. Your critiques always give me a smile and make me feel like I am hearing from a friend, you are a kind and generous soul and I value your opinion very much, here on PN. My sincere thanks for your visit and encouragement.

I think this image could have been the result of auto suggestion, it was all that talk of our child hood tormentors. ALF  "Alien Life Form" and Beady Eyes

: - )

But I am liking the Sci-Fi connotations very much, the alien face looks almost feline in appearance and conveys a menacing disposition. I even get the perception of piercing eyes, and although of course there are no eyes as such, it doesn't stop me getting the impression I'm being watched!  A wonderful creation for my imagination to savour!

Best Regards

Alf

You are TOO FUNNY!!! but I know I have been drifting off to sleep during some of these shows, so I probably dream about them!!! Happy to hear you liked this composition Alf. I see where you get the 'feline' thoughts, the eyes are  not so prominent. If you ever get the chance, I watched a movie a few months ago, it was called "Paul" and a couple of British 'dudes' who I am sure you would recognize. Seth Grogan plays the Alien and he looks just like they 'draw' them in cartoons etc. A few members from Saturday Night Live are in it as well, it is hilarious!!! I'm sure you would enjoy it!

nice colour and format design Gail . As with many of your works, this image, for me, seems to represent a earth like composition in colour and shape.

Before I read the title, I was thinking about dreams but pleasant dreams. I was probably taken down that path when I saw the star like elements in the upper right and left hand corners and the planetary ones in the bottom corners. And then we get into the complexities of the middle portion and I wondered if it  represented the inner workings of the creator       of this image. Phew! It looks so complex that few can probably figure out how it works.

In any event, the image is a testament to your prolific creativity resulting in abstracts that indulge us with colors, forms and lots of room for interpretations.

All the very best,

Hopefully it is not the representation of the 'inner workings of the creator of this image'!!! LOL ! A lot of imagination goes into the finsihing of these Abstracts, but the main image - re: the Alien type figure is created when I manipulate via, Perspective, Warp, Skew etc. I also reverse layers and use blending modes to arrive at the 'innerds' of these comps. If I see something that looks like a 'figure' that can be turned into an interesting comp, the 'off I go'!!! I'm glad you enjoyed it Tony. I'm afraid I'm a much more 'delicate' soul than some of these ever depict!!! Many thanks for your very kind words of critique and compliments.

great presentation

as long as symmetries subsist, there must be a substratum of sensibility, however alien the images may look
