Please view large. Per the comments received on my original Rock'n

image posted, I am posting this one as well that shows more of the beach

and add a sense of scale because of the people on the beach. The

Moeracki Boulders is an interesting site on the Otago coast of New

Zealand. Your comments and opinions are appreciated.

Thanks for your description of the place of the subject.  Love the work with the details and perspective view. Well composed.  Nice lighting and tonality and texture and contract.  Best Regards,

Personally I'd rather hot have the people on the beach (personal preference, that's all), but it's a nice image, good composition.

Douglas, i understand and go back and forth about including people in images.  In this case I felt that including the beach in the background would be a benefit and left in the people.  I appreciate your looking at this image and your offering this comment.

Pretty cool rock formations Larry! I really like the texture and detail in the rocks, and the use of the waterline as a leading line for the composition. Nice contrasting blue/gold tones too!

All the best,
Neil

Neil,  Thanks.  I appreciate your comment as it was so difficult to capture a decent image with the poor light at 11:00 AM.  I took my shoes off and waded into the water with my tripod to get this angle.  Larry

Looks like your capture of the light was just right here, subtle but soft and effective. The background colors repeat the color in the boulders enhancing the overall effect further. Very nice and thank you for your recent comment. rek.
