With this woman, the brighter area is on her lovely head covering; her face blends somewhat with her garb with the grey background which contributes to making a dreary mood. We see just bits of her eyes -- wishing she would look up to make contact. You've caught much detail in the ravages of her skin, particulary the mouth and jaw but also the frown lines between her brows, making me think there is deep unhappiness here. But, perhaps the eyes would sparkle with an inner spirit. I hope so Link to comment
