Love these improbable little places that still manage to hang on in an increasingly standardized, soul-crushing world that values profit above everything. They're absurd but in a most delightfully human way.

Probably not many of these left. When I was a kid I could go into one of these places with my Dad & get a 7-up & a bag of chips & never heard a foul word. Families were welcome back then I guess. The man who used to own this, his name was really Nightingale.
