GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted October 3, 2012 I really like this image Jamie, so different from your fower images, like out of a old story book or movie. 'The Secret Garden' or some 'Mystical' type of Book. Very good! Link to comment
JamieK 1 Posted October 3, 2012 there's a highway up there. it's not busy, so you'd never know from the bottom of the steps. Thanks a lot Gail. best, jamie Link to comment
sarah_mcnulty 5 Posted October 14, 2012 Hi Jamie. I haven't been to this portfolio of your before, wish I had! Great light, composition, textures and details. makes me want to walk up there and see what's on the other side. All the best. Sarah. Link to comment
JamieK 1 Posted October 14, 2012 The more I study this wall, the more impressed I am. It's clearly a dry stone wall - no mortar - but it must be 10 feet (3 meters) high, and it holds back a massive dirt hill. It looks like it must be pretty old, but it's hard to imagine it holding back all that dirt for very long. Thanks Sarah! best, j p.s.: I was not aware that the lens had the wrong adaptor when I bought it, so the picture is wider than I intended. I framed with 35 and used 28. It doesn't look so wide to me, but it leaves generous space at the top and bottom. Perhaps I should leave more space around things? The didacticism of randomness. Link to comment
w-j-li 0 Posted November 21, 2012 Nice color and texture. It conveys a mood of the past. Best Regards, Link to comment
