Badab sort is a natural site in Mazandaran Province in northern Iran, 95

kilometers South of city of Sari, and 7 kilometers west of Orost village. It

comprises a range of stepped travertine terrace formations that has been

created over thousands of years as flowing water from two mineral hot

springs cooled and deposited carbonate minerals on the mountain side.

This is an early morning shot with special colored welcome. Thanks in

advance for your visit.

Incredibly interesting landscape -- reminds me of parts of Yellowstone Park in the U.S.

The terraces create a wonderful leading line and means of reflecting the sky colour and you have handled the bright morning light very well.  I do get the impression that the image is sloping to the right, and although I'm fairly certain that this is an accurate record of the terrain as it is, I can't help but wonder how it would look if it were artificially  "straightened"  I like the edges of the terraces too as they catch the light. It looks like an amazing location Hamid, and well worth the early start to capture this superb image!

Compliments & Best Regards

Hello Hamid, The soft and subtle tones in this image caught my eye immediately, but there is so much more to it. The edges of each step or terrace do catch the reflective light and lead you down into the image. The star effect on the bright spots is a nice touch also. Like Alf said getting up extra early can pay big dividends and this is proof of that. Congrats on another great image.

Best Always,

Holger

The lines formed by the terraces bring me into the photograph, the tones are wonderful in this nicely interpreted landscape. Beautiful morning!

So many tanks , dear friends, for nice comments and positive inputs. Much appreciated.

Alf, All of my shots here ( over 200 ) were seem somewhat steeped ( i used in-camera spirit for leveling ), but this location is in hill side and as you see terraces are stepped to the right side and the water surface is completely level. Any artificial straightening will affect water surface, which as you can see is level. Thank you for your advice and thoughtful comment.

My best wishes,

Hamid.

Beautiful image Hamid. So many thoughtful comments and I truly cannot add anything more as far as the technical qualities are concerned. But I recognize a lovely composition when I see one. Bravo! ;-) Gail

It is so perfectly caught and so beautiful and it's impossible overestimate the result!

One of the best shot we've seen. Congratulations, Grazyna and Pawel.
