Very compelling and powerful image, conveying the desolation of the place. Everything works in this image: the cracked cement foreground, the dry grass on the left, the perspective, the reflections on the windows (surprisingly intact, I would have guessed many should be broken windows), and the sky. It has it all. 7/7 in my book! Congratulations.

Just wondering if you did any perspective correction on this.  I always have trouble with shots like this.  This is perfect in my book...great composition and exposure.

I do my best to frame the image in the viewfinder so vertical lines are plumb and horizontal lines are level where appropriate. But this does not always work in the field. I use DXO Optics Pro to process my images. DXO has a several tools that allow for perspective correction. One is called force parallel. I used this tool by drawing a line on the left and right front edges of the building and then hit force parallel. This makes the lines vertical and parallel to one another and adjusts the image in the same manner. I also used a barrel correction tool to take apparent bow out of what should be straight lines. Does this help?

I thank everyone for their comments.
