Gunnar, thanks for the comment.  My main intention was to add some aesthetic interest to photographs of wind turbines.

Hi Stephen-Seeing as how aesthetics are the study of different forms of beauty your image is quite successful. The strong deep blacks, dark reds & the white sun create a visually pleasing image to most people.Believe I would wager successfully if your image was displayed & people were asked if the image was created by a professional graphic artist or a photographer, most people would choose the graphic artist. But it was you who created this strong image & no graphic artist could have done any better. Best Regards-Ross

Another attempt to add interest to a group of wind turbines. Your

comments and suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

The colors, and large setting sun, serve to give this image an exotic quality. Excellent, well composed, image Stephen!

All the best,
Neil

A simple but very artistic representation of two alternative sources of energy! Well seen Stephen.

Neil and Dimitris, thanks for your comments.  It occurred to me later that I should have incorporated that idea of two sources of energy into my title, but the thought came too late.

The colors, the composition and the "idea of energy" all combine to make this quite a powerful image.  Brilliant idea!

I like this one more than II, although III is really cool too. For whatever reason the composition in II seems more balanced and soothing. The setting sun is intriguing. Perhaps wind power supplanting solar power, but that is doubtful. Number III is more in your face. I guess the reason is initial emotional impact.

Lynne and Jim, thanks for your comments.  Jim, I can't remember myself which was II and which was III, so I understood your comment -- I appreciate your take on the difference between the two photos.

Evgeni, thanks for your comment.  I find this version to be a bit more subtle and darker, and that lends appeal to me personally.
