Intimate moment with nature

I'd appreciate your comments on this one.

I took this photo of a couple from a distance. They were surrounded

by red rock, the blue of the ocean, etc. They were lost in the

scene, although the intended focal point of the shot. By leaving

them in color but making all else b+w, it seemed to bring them out

more.

Is this too gimicky, or is it effective? will post the original as

well in the same folder.

Again, I'd appreciate your thoughts.

very nice... however the low contrast at the top and the high contrast at the bottom clash a bit.
