This is really quite lovely.  Wonderfully composed and exposed.  If I could offer a suggestion, I think it suffers from a lack of sharpening.  Perhaps this was intentional on your part.  It certainly has a softer more painterly because of the lack of detail, and presents very nicely.  Good work, Paul.  Cheers!  Chris

I completely agree with Chris' assessment of this photo, it really does have a nice painterly feel to it. It can be really tough to find a pleasing composition in the woods but you've done a great job. My only other thought is that the birch trees have a bit of a bluish hue to them and perhaps adjusting the white balance would give this a more comfortable tone. The colorful foliage is really beautiful when contrasting the starkness of the tree trunks but it feels a little cool to me. Perhaps this was intentional,but I'd try warming it up. It might be worth a shot.
