Thank-you Bob, the original certainly has an old world feel to it. I am crazy about Gustav Klimt's work and have re-created studio backdrops and post processing to imitate. The encaustic process is new to me and I am loving it and think it will have many applications with these kinds of shoots.

How are you using the encaustic? As a colorless texture layer? As the texture on the white scarf? I think I see the oils on the scarf, but I'm not quite sure how you're using the encaustic. Congrats on the show BTW...

Thanks again Bob, the encaustic is painted on as clear (clear as it can be). You can see a little of the sideways motion of the brush in the texture. The oil paint can be underneath or on top, in this case it's the last thing I did - on top.

Great, thanks! I've seen some interesting encaustic works but not combined with photography... Nice combination. I assume the clear layer gives some added depth to the image, especially with the oils on top.
