...so this will be a very good document for next generation,even if is old(i think) it looks in very good condition.

The image in bw is interesting with lot of elements of that day moment so well caught,the see with strong waves,the sea sand wall and not at least that two old people(like the long shadows) walking to the light house,is an excellent mood that dominate this photo,we can say that is the walk of there life lead by the light all the time.

I am happy you have not forgotten me :) I have been a bit off side the last month or so. But now I will join PN a bit more frequently.

The lighthouse is around 200ft (60m) above the sea. Both shifting sands and coastal erosion are a serious problem in the area. On the right of the lighthouse there were three buildings. They disappeared under the sand around 2002. But as the coast erodes on average 4.9 ft (1.5m) a year they will soon reappear before sliding down into the sea. The tower will propably follow a few years later.

It was very windy the day I was there and a lot of sand blowing on my camera. So I made only a few shots.

Wonderful image. The b/w gives this picture a timeless quality, making it a statement about peoples struggle against the forces of nature. It certainly seems as if the two people are struggling as well and as if they are fighting to make their way into the picture. The clouds come out beautifully and all the elements blend together so well. Excellent work!!!

Gorgeous black and white landscape and a simply stunning composition and exposure.  My only suggestion is to level your horizon, it dips a bit down on the right side.  Other than that, this is an exquisite work of art.  Well done, Bela!  Cheers!  Chris

Majestic is the word that comes to my mind with this lighting. Very powerful and the ocean somehow seems to "vast and open". Well done!
