Poor Peoples Campaign participant...Washington, DC, 1968

Here's another photo taken at the Poor Peoples Campaign in 1968.

Thousands of the nation's poor traveled to Washington to camp in a

plywood community on the mall to demand what was termed an Economic

Bill of Rights. The protest was organized by Dr. Martin Luther King

shortly before his assassination. Comments and critiques are always

Wonderful portrait of a very interesting subject!  Love the beard and his glance toward the camera that almost has a beseeching look to it.  A slight vignetting of the upper corners might help that bright white spot, but it's a strong shot nevertheless.
