clive1 0 Posted September 14, 2012 I like it! Give me anything but the ordinary. However, I insist on hand-colouring photographs. Link to comment
JamieK 1 Posted September 14, 2012 from "Andy Warhol" by David Bowie. Cool. Glad to see some deep blur from an otherwise sharp soul. best, j p.s.: i'm guessing it would still work without the colour enhancement. Link to comment
overdiep 0 Posted September 14, 2012 Striking image, sublime! A lot of thoughts and feelings for the viewer. In front I notice a mixture of a man and a woman, ambitious and dreaming about the future. The figure on the background seems to be old, it could also be the death. Congratulations! Best regards Link to comment
sranga 2,136 Posted September 14, 2012 stunning. If you paste a poster of this image in wall 500ft away, the wall will look 50ft nearer! Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 286 Posted September 14, 2012 Ranga, your witty remark should remind us of the cutting on the upper edge? Fascinatingly constructed remark, congratulations my friend! PDE Link to comment
John Peri 1,033 Posted September 14, 2012 The flow and figure in the background remind me of the "scream" ... an original piece once again. The colouring does indeed add to the impact factor. Unfortunately the figure looks like a prominent Greek politician of today, one with demagogic pseudo-utopian tendencies, the colouring expresses well his rage. A very interesting piece, bravo. sranga 2,136 Posted September 15, 2012 PDE,The close-up( not necessarily the cropping, that's your choice), the highlighted hands of the backup and the almost wall like background; I feel they act together to bounce back the viewer's vision with some force, rather than allowing him to enter and wander; it's the picture that enters the viewer, hence the comment. I hope I am not way off the mark! Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 286 Posted September 15, 2012 Thank you Ruud, John, Apryl and Ryszard! Ranga, that was my fault, I rush into conclusions without thinking over what I've read! This time I thought you said: If you spread the picture on a 500ft wall, the wall will look 50ft lower! Crazy me! At least, your comment, as you now put it, refers to the tight crop (close up, as you say, look comes from the tight cropping) among other! Thank you for explaining yourself thoroughly! GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted September 16, 2012 Great compostion Pierre, Kind of 'spooky' to me, but that could just be me at the moment. The figure in the back reminds me of a character in a movie who was rather 'evil'. Great colours and concept all the same, you always have good ideas for your work.! Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 286 Posted September 16, 2012 Thank you Stephanie, David, Mari and Gail! Gail, many said about the spooky figure in the back, but it's only a jogger out of focus and I didn't expect him to drag attention so much and to scare my dear friends! PDE Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted September 16, 2012 Very over the top ala Andy Warhol but quite effective. This would be even more impressive as part of a series. Link to comment

JPPhoto1664880217 5 Posted September 17, 2012 The color gives the image a sense of depth that is surreal. The lips look like they jump off the page. Jim Phelps Link to comment
