Ah summer is over, yet the temps' are still waundering back up some

of the readings we had just weeks ago. Changes are happening all

round us. Birds are starting to head for favorite Migratory 'haunts'.

The next 3 weeks, at least here in Ontario, we should see many

more birds in the marshy wet areas. The butterflies, especially the

Monarchs, are seen in abundance as they prepare for their long flight

to Mexico. And yes, even in my garden, there are sights I've not seen

for a very long time. While the wasps get increasingly frustrating as

we attempt to eat outdoors, the flies seem to be getting a bit lazier,

and one in particular seemed downright DEPRESSED!! There were

a few 'tell tale tears' that made me think of a 'beau' that he might be

missing. But it is too late for his 'apologies', she is long gone, and

alas he is left to sing his 'sad song' once again. ("Everytime You Go

Away' written by Hall & Oats, was one of my favorite songs in 1985

when Paul Young, a popular British Singer took it to No. 1 on the

Pop Charts -- many thanks always for any visits and comments, Gail)

Gail, you did make me smile, it's a perfect transfer of emotions, with the plane and the little cloud with a photo of his loveliest! The tears are a good addition! Let us all remember our summer (if not this one then another that was lovelier).

Love, Ulla

Hi, Gail,

you are really acheived a lot with your macro! Happy for you. I like the background you used and the story you told by your picture! My husband used to travel a lot - business is business. So it would be me, with my thoughts and tears. Two kids are missing though :) ! Warm regards, Tamara

So now you're shooting for poignancy. Anyone that can imagine the inner life of a fly is my type of person. You certainly are exploring some odd corners and more power to you.

But this time you  got those textures of compound eyes very nicely & also presented this in an unique way.Very much loved the presentation.

My best regards.

I'm glad you enjoyed this one. The eyes in this Macro turned out very well, but the rest of the body was quite blurred. There are so many excellent Macro photographers here on PN, so I decided to do something different again. Many thanks Kallol for your time and of course expressing your thoughts with me.

Well, I am not sure that 'going down that road', is all that cleaver, I really don't want to think of all the places these guys inhabit and 'dine' on, but for some reason, I just can't help but find some humour in some of the images. Perhpas one day I will 'move on up' the insect chain!!! Glad you enjoy wherever 'I am going'. I am not too sure myself, but it does change things up a bit. Many thanks Jack for sharing your thoughts. You have a great eye for the unusual, and actually you are a bit of an inspiration along these lines for me!!!

Ah, it must have been difficult for you. A man does what he has to  in order to make a living, but it always comes with a bit of a price. I hope you meant back then the children were with you for company~~ many thanks for your visit Tamara.

Thankyou David, your response is a 'treat' especially coming form you. You are somewhat of a 'master' at Digital Alterations!

Most sincere regards, Gail

I love your boundless and creative imagination! And the composition and processing of that imagination to bring it from an intracranial concept to a visual reality on the screen is a gift! Bravo! BRAVO, I say!
