floh 0 Posted July 28, 2003 Nice texture for computer graphics and quite decorative, but not very interesting to look at... Link to comment
root 0 Posted July 28, 2003 You know I enjoy these kinds of shots. Looks like you had problems getting the surface parallel to the film plane because the top looks sharper than the bottom. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 28, 2003 Well it appears to be a rusty piece of sheet metal. Regardless, I find it very interesting work. There are interesting patterns and lines to discern throughout. The colors are not those that would attract most viewers but I think that secondary to the interest created by the three distinct areas of corroded metal you see. I like it. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted July 28, 2003 Thanks for the comments everyone! This is the hull of a large (close to 100 ft. fishing boat). It's a dragger. This was shot in macro mode, at nearly 1/1. I'm happy about the colors , texture, and overall design of the image. Carl, you're right about this not being sharp and probably right about the film plane. I was literally lying down on the dock trying to get this angle as the ship bobbed in the water. I guess I'll have to go out and try again! Thanks again for commenting. Link to comment
tc_reed 0 Posted January 6, 2004 This would look great on a wall with a fireplace. The whole wall, that is. Rust makes the best colors/tones. Link to comment
