A conspicuously manipulated wedding day portrait of the bride in a garden

This is an intriguing image.  The dress and the flowers are the center of interest---but the saturation of it all and the manipulation of elements to give a painterly effect adds to the artistic appeal.  I originally was not planning on adjusting this image because it has power and impact as is---but the tree led me to use the low side of photoshop curves to see what is there.  The heavy dark thing on the left is a tree but because the RGB levels are below 10 there is not enough detail to see what it is on my CRT monitor.  In my adjusted version those same areas measure RGB 30s-60s.  In answering my tree question suddenly a new luminous version of your image sprang to life.  I took a snapshot and used the history brush to return the flowers and the horizontal hot streak in the background to the original tones.  I am dazzled by both images!

I often don't think of how the internet limits how an image is received... I appreciate that you were interested enough to spend so much time with it...
