stp 6 Posted September 15, 2012 I think it would help to have more detail in the foreground so that the overlapping hills are better seen. Right now, the exposure range is so great for your camera that when the sky is properly exposed, the foreground is too dark. Two ways to deal with this are to use a graduated neutral density filter to better balance the light above and below; or to manually combine two different exposures, one exposure that best captures the sky and another that best captures the hills (taking care that the combination looks naturally balanced -- easier said than done).
